11th Annual Garden Deva Sculpture Company Open Studio Party, Tulsa OK
Friday, November 5, 10a-8p
Saturday, November 6, 10a-6p
Every year, Lisa Regan (Tulsa’s Garden DEVA) invites all of her closest friends (I’m on that list) to an open studio party where we can shop for holiday gifts from local artists. It’s a “not to miss” party in midtown Tulsa, especially if you like to rub elbows with the artsy-fartsy crowd. Lisa brings in good food, libations and music to make our shopping more fun. Bring a credit card, ’cause you’re going to want to buy a lot!
The Garden Deva Gallery is located one block west of Utica Avenue on Trenton, between 3rd and 4th Streets. They are open Monday thru Friday 8am to 4pm and Saturdays 10am to 2pm.
I’ve written about Lisa and Garden Deva before, as it’s my favorite place to shop in all of Tulsa. Plus, Lisa donates much back to the community, and I like to keep my money in motion, if you know what I mean.
Be possessed of the patience and stability to keep on moving in the directions of your dreams.

About the artist, Lisa
In 1991, with the help of some wonderful farm boys, car mechanics and body shop guys, I was able to use my first torch. I designed, cut out, exhibited and sold my first ever ‘Deva’. I was instantly in love with the medium of recycled steel. I found absolute beauty in rusty patinas and old car springs.
I began my journey on the same course as most every other artist I know-I worked a full time pantyhose job, managed my home and family (4 awesome sons) and made art in every other available moment.
In 1996, I formally opened my studio, selling wholesale, attending art and garden sales regionally and employing magical and creative help to assist me.
Garden Deva studio has evolved into a space for me to create and assemble my work from small Devas that are offered through this website to large gates, fences and furniture. We also house other artists in the iron working fields of welding and blacksmithing.
No admission for the November 2010 event and please do bring a friend!! For more info, please contact: www.gardendeva.com; phone: 918.592.3382. See you there!!!
