It started out as a day of remembrance to honor those who fought in the Battle of Puebla. Today, it has become more of a celebration of Mexican culture. But why stop at just one day? During the Tulsa Cinco de Mayo Festival 2019, the celebration lasts for three days!

Tulsa Cinco de Mayo Festival 2019
Since May 5th falls on Sunday, this year’s Cinco de Mayo festival lasts for an entire weekend. Beginning Friday afternoon, River West Festival Park fills up with the sights and sounds of Mexico. Enjoy live bands performing traditional mariachi, ranchera, and norteño music as well as modern tunes. Hop on board one of the carnival rides (not included in price of admission).
Step right up and try your luck with some of the classic fair games. You never know. You just might win a prize! And when you get hungry, visit one of the food trucks at the park. And, for the adults, sip on margaritas or quench your thirst with a good Mexican beer while chowing down on your meal. Then, visit the arts and crafts vendors to see what our local artisans have to offer.
