Happy to have the 100,000 point avatar, but I expected to feel more accomplished or more excited to reach this milestone. Promised hubby we would go out for steak for this occasion, but we’re both working tonight and eating leftovers. 🙂
It USE to be about the points.
It’s no longer about the points.
It’s about the VAST information, direction, support and lessons I receive from Active Rain. It’s about being with colleagues of like mind and ethics. It’s about getting the encouragement and jump-start when you can’t possibly figure out what to blog about next. It’s about learning how to get your blog post indexed by Google and the satisfaction when you receive your Google Alert or better yet, a REFERRAL.
Thank you to the many who have helped me the last six months . . . to learn how to build lasting business and professional relationships with people whom I’ve not yet met. Thank you for giving me an advantage I could not possibly have received elsewhere.
The point system in Active Rain is perfect and should remain the same. Garnering the points brought out my competitive side and spirit to achieve. I might not have gone two weeks without doing laundry had it not been for Bob Stewart’s challenges. I might not be getting my blog posts indexed so often (and quickly) without Brad Andersohn’s detailed tutorials.
Happy and productive blogging to all – whether you’re in it for the points or not! And continued success to all in the new year!!
