After spending over a year learning about this new phenomenon called “Social Media,” I finally made the decision to hire a personal coach — an investment decision for which I will reap rewards for years to come.
Blogging? Who would read my blog and how would that bring me business? I need a WordPress web site, you say? Google algorithms have changed again? Inbound links are good and reciprocal links are bad? Yes, I’m on Facebook, but how do I tweet to my peeps and what content do I tweet? What the heck is Posterous and don’t I already have one? Are hashtags LEGAL?

I had come to know Jeremy Blanton and Jason Crouch through their blogs on Active Rain and was fortunate to meet Jason at a Raincamp in Dallas last spring. Jeremy and Jason formed a social media consulting company, 210 Consulting, through which I took some classes (webinars). Spend just a little time with these two and you’ll discover that learning can be rewarding and FUN!
In addition to optimizing my web site, I decided I needed to optimize my most valued asset – MY TIME.
So, I began personal coaching with Jeremy and Jason and am happily watching my web site increase in rankings and my phone ringing from clients who “found me on the internet.” (Smile.)
