The Tulsa Oklahoma 2010 Williams Route 66 Marathon Starts in 16 hours and 54 minutes
The nice thing about living at 19th and Cheyenne is that we’re one block from Veteran’s Park and one block from Riverside. We literally don’t have to drive anywhere to have fun or be in the center of the city’s activities.
The bad thing about living at 19th and Cheyenne is that they have to block roads off for larger events. In anticipation for the Route 66 marathon and associated activities, I’m trying to figure out how to get out of my neighborhood for a 10:00am appointment!
I may have to park my car overnight north of 15th Street because every possible outlet out of my neighborhood will be blocked off for runners.
The Route 66 Marathon has something for everyone – a full 26 mile marathon, half marathon, 5K Run and Walk and Fun Run/Walk.
We’re very proud of our Tulsa runners (and walkers) and love to cheer them on from our back yard.
Demetrius usually runs the 5K, but is skipping tomorrow because of a knee problem.
So, here are signs that we’re getting ready for an event tomorrow:
