Still have holiday shopping to do?
Tip #2: Recycle your electronics While shopping at Best Buy this holiday season, remember to bring along a couple small electronic items that you no longer use. The Best Buy "Greener Together" program will make sure these items don’t end up in a land fill. Instead, they will either be repaired, repurposed, or recycled. Best Buy accepts most items for free, but for the few items that require a $10 drop-off charge (TVs, monitors, CRTs and laptops) Best Buy will give you $10 gift card in return. For larger items, Best Buy has a TV and appliance pickup service and several other resources available. Another option offered by Best Buy is their "Trade-in" program. This applies to iPods, mobile phones or laptops purchased at Best Buy, and a list of other "gently used" electronics no matter where they were purchased. I found it interesting that Best Buy will provide gift cards for the obsolete HD DVD players and movies! So if you are looking to switch to Blu-ray, now is your chance.Via: John Keene, Keller Williams
