Blue Rose Cafe and dining on Tulsa’s riverfront is something we’ve all been waiting for. Just off Riverside Drive at 19th Street, the restaurant is open for business, as the construction crews are making final touches.

In addition to the inside seating, there is a 2,000 square foot, two-story deck overlooking the river that will be used for additional seating when the weather allows.

I had lunch at Blue Rose Cafe last week with girlfriends and was pretty impressed that we could view the Arkansas river from most everywhere. The restaurant is decorated with rock and jazz memorabilia, my favorite being a portrait of Leon.

You can also purchase t-shirts, mugs and all kinds of “Blue Rose” merchandise.

The lunch menu included items we’re familiar with from Blue Rose: salads, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, blackened chicken, and cheese fries. New items promised include catfish, fried shrimp, gumbo, red beans and rice, and po’boys. Prices are reasonable and imported beer is on tap.
