Brownie’s Hamburgers Midtown Tulsa
If you are looking for a good burger joint in midtown Tulsa, you need look no further than Brownies Hamburgers at 21st and Harvard.
Known for their “house made root beer” and homemade pies, it’s a nostalgic burger stand that will take you back to the 50s – 1956, to be exact.
Their menu is what you’d expect from a neighborhood burger place: good burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches and a BLT. The daily bowl specials include frito pie, butterbeans with ham, beef stew, navy beans and chili. The fries and onion rings are homemade, of course.
Their claim to fame is their home made root beer which they fill at your table from a pitcher. It’s to die for. Also, their pies are homemade. I haven’t eaten breakfast there before, but have heard rave reviews about their waffles, ham and biscuits and gravy.

You can sit at the counter in the pink swivel chairs or choose from a booth. It’s a small place, so you may wind up waiting in line, but it’s worth it.
They cater too. Call owner Dusty Oakley at 918-744-0320 and let him know what you want. He has a trailer and smoker ready to go and provides many food items not available in his brick and mortar restaurant.
Brownies is located at 2130 South Harvard Avenue, the southwest corner of 21st & Harvard.
