Call to Action: Every Article Every Time

Over the last few weeks, many people have been talking to us in reference to marketing. Admittedly, I am not a marketing expert. However, over the years, one of the big things that I have known about marketing concerns having a ‘Call to Action: Every Article Every Time’. With that said, Rich Dansereau, my business partner and co-owner of this real estate network, will be writing a series on marketing your website/blogsite. We at PREP have even ignored this extremely important aspect of marketing as have many of our own members.
Before we get in too deep, let’s take a look what a ‘Call to Action’ is. A ‘Call to Action’ can be a statement which represents the final stage of marketing campaign that encourages the consumer to act. ‘Call to Actions’ are marketing message that directs visitors to act in some specific manner such as requesting a brochure. Some of the more commonly used ‘Call to Action’ phrases are related to filling out a short form, ‘Write Now’, ‘Email Me’, ‘Call Now’, or in internet parlance ‘Click Here’.
A ‘Call to Action’ is one of the most important concepts in marketing and promoting. When you have established that you have something to offer the reader and you are the best resource for this, then you need to make sure that you follow up with a ‘Call to Action’. With that said, it is a marketing tool that is widely under used. For the call to action to work, you need to make sure that you are keeping it as simple as possible. In the case of a call to action, you do not want to give your reader multiple choices. Provided them with a specific call to action. If you are just wanting to capture lead information, simply have them fill out a contact form to gain more information. These can easily be added at the end of your articles. Below in green is the new PREP ‘Call to Action’ that will be placed at the bottom of every article on the main PREP blog. This ‘Call to Action’ is designed to provide a clear way for the reader to take action when they are ready, while highlighting the fact that members are getting far more value than their monetary investment.
