Background info for Garden Deva Sculpture Company:
Garden Deva Sculpture Company was formed in 1996 by Lisa Regan, a Tulsa native. Lisa has traveled all over the country showcasing her sculptures in galleries, public and private commissions, art festivals, and museums – letting people know that creative things are happening here in Tulsa! Nearly two decades ago, Lisa decided to take a leap of faith and quit her full-time “9 to 5 pantyhose” job to follow a dream.
Forging her way in a traditionally male trade, and growing her company from a one-woman-show to a crew of family and close friends, Lisa has come a long way since ’96 – purchasing her first studio/gallery in 2001 and later expanding to a larger metal shop/gallery in 2007; being featured on nationally syndicated programs such as ‘Gardening by the Yard’ with Paul James and ‘That’s Clever’ on HGTV; as well as being featured in national publications Better Homes and Gardens: Garden Shed and Southern Living (in which her gallery was listed as #4 of the ‘Top 100 Places to Shop’) magazines. Local elementary school students are delighted by her work in their school halls, library patrons enjoy her whimsical pieces in many branches of the Tulsa City-County Library System, and art connoisseurs of all types have enjoyed her large public sculpture on permanent display in the Philbrook Museum gardens. Most recently, in October 2012, Garden Deva was selected by the Brady Craft Alliance to create sculptural signage for the Turkey Mountain hiking and bike trails.
