Settle Inn or Settle Down? You can do both at the Settle Inn RV Park in Pawhuska Oklahoma! Open house June 15, 2010!
My parents, Don and Patti Wells, built an RV park in 2002 nested in the beautiful rolling hills of Osage county and they named it Settle Inn RV Park – it’s on the edge of their property in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. It has progressed over this short time into a pretty upscale park with many amenities.
Although it’s a newer park with 19 full-service sites (water, 30/50 amp electric, sewer), Don keeps adding and enhancing – there may be more than 19 sites now. There is also a band stand, storm shelter, laundry, shower, restrooms, picnic tables and a playground for the kids.
Recently, Don and Rick Geisler’s crew built a cabin available for rent and it was christened “The Settle Down” cabin. The entire cabin is built with cedar and the wonderful aroma itself is pleasing and “settling.” The cabin and its name reflect the atmosphere, ambiance and general welcoming and friendly nature of the entire park.
You can visit the cabin and take a tour of the park at an upcoming open house, Tuesday June 15th, 2010 from noon to 8pm.
The cabin is what you would expect to find in a fairy land, in my opinion. There is a living area combined with a kitchen area, comfortable seating to view a large, flat-screen television, bedroom and private bath with full shower — and a loft with room for additional sleeping. Everything you need is in the cabin, from linens to dishes, so just bring your camera and a change of clothes.
The intricate details and love poured into this cabin creation is beyond words, so I hope you enjoy the photos below.
