So, you want to buy a NEW house? Then, why did you put an offer on my house built in 1949? It’s SIXTY years old and has survived the test of time. Yeah, I know your inspector would advise that you have all new electrical wiring and R-38 insulation, but guess what? IF we had put in all new electrical and R-38 insulation, we wouldn’t be selling this home for this price!
It’s convenient that your sister-in-law use to be a licensed Realtor and it’s convenient that her out-of-state husband is a licensed home inspector. The VALUE in the property you wish to by is the LOCATION within our beautiful city and neither relative has a clue what value this adds.
But you want this older house because that’s all you can afford, and you want the Seller to pay $9,000 in repairs when you didn’t even make a full-price offer?
After this transaction is officially dead in the water, please find another Realtor with which to work. You’ve worn me out already.
AND, do we have an official AR group called “VENT?”
