Tulsa Home Sellers – this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you!
Don’t you remember when your parents said, “this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you!” right before you got a slap on the butt or got grounded? As children, we could NEVER understand that logic!! And it’s not possible to understand what our parents meant or felt until we became parents ourselves!
So it goes with the relationship between a Realtor and a Tulsa home seller. It’s not easy for me to tell you that your drapes are dated, that your wallpaper has to go or that your home needs a deep cleaning. It’s REALLY difficult to tell you that I’d like you to store your grandmother’s dining room furniture and replace it with something more contemporary while your Tulsa home for sale is on the market.
These are NOT easy conversations to have. But, I’m a blunt Realtor and have a reputation for getting the job done, easy or not. I will tell you what you don’t want to hear, and the truth is, it does hurt me more than it hurts you!
Tulsa Home Sellers – this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you!
I offer suggestions to improve your chances of a good offer on your Tulsa home for sale whether I offend you or not. Quick reminder that I don’t get paid until your home sells, so I am invested also. What good does it do me to sugar-coat anything if your home is going to sit on the market?
Trust me, it’s the easy route to tell a Seller that their home is perfect just the way it is. But, if that’s not true, that’s not what you’re going to hear from me.
When you put your Tulsa home for sale on the market, it becomes a commodity and you need to sever your emotional ties. In your mind, you need to prepare your home for the NEXT owner.
If you truly want to sell your home, give me a call. If you want compliments only, call the next gal.
