You want your Realtor to market your property to other Realtors because we work as a community to sell each other’s listings. Your Realtor should market your property directly to prospective Buyers, but also to other Realtors whose Buyers may be the perfect match for your home sale.
You want your Realtor to provide a detailed, accurate and thorough description of your property on the MLS and various internet sites – ask to see it.
Make sure the driving directions to your home are easy to understand and that a map is included with your listing.
Ask your Realtor to send you links of your listing on Realtor.com and the many other web sites on which your home should be advertised. Verify that multiple (updated) photos are present and a virtual tour is included.
If you are interviewing Realtors before you list your home for sale, tell them that you want your Realtor to market your property to other Realtors and ask how they intend to accomplish that.
The tried-and-true home selling formula remains the same, regardless:
- Get your home in top-notch, move-in condition and stage to “WOW” a Buyer
- Price your home competitively
- Choose a Realtor who will market your home aggressively, including extensive internet exposure and marketing to fellow Realtors
